Today’s promise is Isaiah 30:21 CJB:
“With your ears you will hear a word from behind you:
‘This is the way; stay on it,
whether you go to the right or the left.’”
I love this promise. I claim it daily. But very few people read the preceding verse, which talks about the Lord giving us affliction and adversity. Yes, the Lord. Because this is what it takes to grow our faith. It’s a piece of cake to trust God when life is easy. Learning to seek and follow His guidance during adversity is true faith is made of, and vital to our spiritual growth. The world is filled with voices. Some are well-meaning but wrong, and others are just plain deceitful. We must make time each day to be alone with God in good times and bad, getting to know Him intimately and learning to know His voice. There is nothing more important in a believer’s life. Certainly nothing more rewarding. But don’t take my word for it. Jump up to verse 18. “Happy are all who wait for Him!”
Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me so much that You will guide my every step. Please, give me a hunger for You that drives me to Your presence each day, that I might know Your voice, and not stray from Your path. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
