Today’s promise is Psalm 34:7 NKJV:
“The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.”
The angel of the Lord is not a cute little naked baby with wings. In fact, in the Old Testament, Jesus himself (pre-incarnate) is called the angel of the Lord. Since His death and resurrection, He not only encamps all around us, He lives within us! Can you imagine that? Being encased in the protection of the all powerful God? When we live in the fear of the Lord, meaning reverence, faith, and obedience, the spirit of fear that rules the world has no part in us. We can walk in peace and joy, certain that the Lover of our Souls will deliver us from whatever the enemy throws at us. When we accept God’s sovereignty in our lives and act accordingly, we can know beyond a doubt that He has us covered.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your loving care and protection. Help me dwell in Your presence always, that I may know Your perfect peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
