Blessings Friends,
Today’s promise is Proverbs 16:3:
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”
I can’t think of a better promise to launch my new web site.
When God turned my 10cm tumor into a 2.5cm blob that couldn’t be identified, and removed it from my nerve in the two days between my MRI and my surgery, I had no idea how drastically my life would change.
Instead of the paralysis, radiation, and chemo, my surgeon had prepared me for, I was on a long road to recovery from two surgeries that took a large chunk of my tailbone, and my long-standing prayer to be closer to God was being answered.
Many would say cancer is a curse, but it was the best thing that ever happened to me. And, the greatest blessing was not the miracle of healing, but what God has done in and through me as I’ve trusted in Him along the painful road of healing. And, that is why I’m here.
Luke 12:48 tells us, “For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.”
I have been given much—a second chance.
I used to wonder what good I could possibly be to God. How could I ever impact the world for His Kingdom? Through my illness, God has shown me. I can no longer hide in the background and wait for my Savior to take me away. I have a story to tell—a story of redemption, power, and victory—and I have a burden on my heart to share that story, and help others fully realize their new identity in Jesus Christ and make the most of the short time we’ve been given here.
God warns us in Revelation 3:15-16:
“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.”
And in Hebrews 10:26-27:
“For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.”
If “good enough” is no longer good enough, and you are ready to take your relationship with your Creator and Savior to the next level, then join me and let The Holy Spirit bring The Word alive. But, be prepared—your life will never be the same if you do.
God’s grace and peace be yours,
Rebecca
