Today’s Promise is Matthew 12:25 NKJV:
“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.”
Devotion:
Jesus spoke these words to the Pharisees when they accused Him of casting out demons by the devil. But the same holds true for the Church. There is unity between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It was this unity and agreement that gave Jesus His power on earth. It was and is His prayer that we, His Body, should be unified with one another in Him, that we may operate in that same power. Judging, jealousy, bickering, back-biting, and criticism in the Body of Christ, are like cancer, robbing us of our power, strength, and effectiveness. Unlike other cancers, this one has a cure. Love. Choose today to be the cure.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, pour out Your Spirit on us and saturate us with Your love, in Jesus’ name. Help us to see one another through Your eyes and truly love each other in words, actions, and most importantly in attitude. Open our eyes to the divisive works of the devil, and help us stand against him and not allow ourselves to be used by him to poison Your Body. Amen.
