Promise of the Day: Spiritual Warriors

Repent and Receive

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is James 5:16 NKJV:

“Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

Devotion:

How many times have  you heard, “I’ll be praying for you?” How many times have you said it? The body of Christ is a community. We are meant to pray for one another, for physical and spiritual healing. A physical body produces white blood cells to go to war over infection and defend the body at all cost. The white blood cells sacrifice themselves for the health of the body, just as Christ did for us. We are called to be the white blood cells of the Body of Christ.

Remember this the next time someone asks you to pray for them. When your brother or sister is in need, don’t put them off with a promise. Strike while the iron is hot! Pray then and there, in power and authority, that the Holy Spirit may invade the situation and that your brother or sister may walk away with renewed hope. Then continue to pray fervently and follow through with that person, checking in, praying with them, comforting them when needed and rejoicing with them in the faithfulness of God to hear and answer our prayers. The more we can strengthen one another, the more effective our prayers will be. And the more we pray for one another, the more we will hear God’s voice telling us how and what to pray.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, please forgive my sins. Cleanse my hands and purify my heart. in Jesus’ name, that I may ascend Your Holy Mountain and stand in the place of Your Sanctity, to plead forgiveness and healing for my brothers and sisters! Move in the hearts of Your people, Holy Spirit, and make us the spiritual warriors You created us to be, that You may be glorified in us. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
