Today’s Promise is Matthew 5:19 NKJV:
“Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
Devotion:
Jesus tells us here that, regardless of what we may think, every precept He taught is vital to our relationship with Him. When we believe and teach others that some precepts are of little or no importance, we are saying that He is of little or no importance. But, by His grace and through His Spirit He gives us all we need both to do and to teach His commandments. So, we have no reason to alter or amend the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One size fits all. Praise His holy name!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for fulfilling the Law through Your precious Son! Help me to look to Him alone, in Jesus’ name, and trust in Your Spirit to lead and guide me on the path of righteousness. For Jesus is my Righteousness and my Salvation! Amen.
