Promise of the Day: Eye Opening

Today’s Promise is 1 John 5:6 CJB:

“He is the one who came by means of water and blood, Yeshua the Messiah — not with water only, but with the water and the blood. And the Spirit bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth.”

Devotion:

We don’t believe in Jesus as our Messiah because we just woke up one day and decided to. We believe because the Holy Spirit revealed the Truth to us. God, in His great mercy chose to open our eyes. It’s easy to criticize and judge those who “don’t get it,” but I urge you instead to pray for them. Not only that the Holy Spirit would open their eyes, but that they would yield to His truth, repent, and be redeemed. Because, if it weren’t for God’s grace we would be in the same condition.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I can’t thank You enough for choosing to open my eyes, that I may know You in all Your fulness. Help me to share Your precious gift, in Jesus’ name. Your truth can open eyes, and faith comes by hearing. Speak Your Truth through me by Your Spirit, that others may hear and believe. Amen.
