Promise of the Day: A Willing Heart

Our Shelter

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is 2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV:

“And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

Devotion:

I can’t tell you what great news this was to me five years ago as I lay in bed with a tumor growing out of my sacral nerve root. It took a tumor to teach me that my worth to God wasn’t about my ability to work for Him, but my willingness. You see, God has all the power, knowledge, and ability we need. All He asks from us is that we allow Him to work in and through us. Not that He couldn’t accomplish His will on earth without us, but He created us for relationship. I didn’t fully appreciate Him until I experienced what He could do in my weakness. This is definitely a verse you want embedded in your hard drive when the enemy starts telling you you’re too sick or weak to make a difference!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for being my strong Right Arm. Thank You for revealing Yourself to me in my weakness and for reminding me that You are all I need. Help me to stand on Your promise and always say “YES” to You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
