Today’s Promise is John 6:47 NKJV:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.”
Devotion:
To believe on Jesus, is to be confident beyond doubt that He is the Son of God, and that He died for your sins, that you might live. That He rose from the dead on the third day and is seated at His Father’s right hand. The right hand is symbolic of power and authority. So, to believe in the risen Christ, is to believe that He empowers those who believe to live as He lived, in love and obedience. To turn from our sin and be Holy, as He is Holy. It’s not just about eternal life. It’s about becoming what He created us to be.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us Your Holy Spirit to enable me to live Your love, Your Goodness, Your Holiness. Be glorified in me, Lord, in Jesus’ name, as You remake me into Your likeness. Amen!
