Today’s promise is Hebrews 11:1, 2 NKJV:
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.”
I’ve heard people quote this verse as an excuse for inaction. They believe that their responsibility to God ends with the hoping. That if they just hope hard enough, God will give them what they seek. But hope is not why our patriarchs were counted as righteous. It was the action they took in faith. It was Abraham laying his son on the altar, believing God would still make him the father of many nations. It was Moses stretching out his staff over the Red Sea. It was Joshua marching around Jericho. We invade earth with Heaven’s realities when we trust God enough to act on our beliefs. Are you acting on faith?
Heavenly Father, please grant me the faith that makes Your reality my reality, in Jesus’ name, that You may be glorified in me. Amen!
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
