Today’s Promise is John 12:26 NKJV:
“If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.”
It isn’t easy to walk in Jesus’ footsteps, and it certainly won’t get you millions of followers on social media. In fact, when Jesus said this, He was about to go to the cross! He was going to His death for you. Are you prepared to go to your death for Jesus? How about for that person who betrayed you or hurt you so badly? That’s what Jesus meant when He said, “let him follow Me!” But, think about what else He said. “Where I am, there My servant will be also.” Jesus is in Heaven. And He didn’t just give His life so we could go to Heaven when we die, though that would be enough. He died to give us access to Him in Heaven now. I know. I’ve been there. I want you to be there, too. Because, once you’ve experienced real life, life in the spirit realm, life in the physical realm isn’t nearly as impressive. For us, “to live is Christ and to die is gain” Philippians 1:21, and following Jesus is a joy.
Heavenly Father, I am so grateful to You for giving me Your Son to lead the way back to You. Thank You for giving me eyes to see and ears to hear all the wonders of Heaven, now. Help me abide in You, spending time in Your presence each day, and show me great and mighty things I do not know, as You have promised. Help me love You more than life, that I may receive more of You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
