Blessings!
Today’s Promise is James 4:6 CJB:
“But the grace he gives is greater, which is why it says,
‘God opposes the arrogant,
but to the humble he gives grace.’”
Devotion:
Pride is the open door through which a multitude of demons gain access to our souls. That is because pride is self-worship, and it is written, “You shall have no other gods before me.” The word humble literally means not rising far from the ground. When you truly know the Lord, being on your face before Him comes naturally. With God standing over you, the lower you get, the less of a target you become for the enemy. So, like Moses, when he came under attack by his own people (Numbers 16:4), when you come under attack, the best thing you can do is get low. Nothing gets through God’s defensive line.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I want to live to exalt You alone. Help me to humble myself before You always, in Jesus’ name, that I may be constantly in Your grace. From this position, Lord, equip me to extend Your grace to others. Amen!
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
