Today’s Promise is Colossians 3:1 NKJV:
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.”
Devotion:
Paul knew that when we are raised with Christ, we are raised all the way. Yet, so many Christians are content to sit in church a couple hours a week and wait for God to help them, physically, financially, spiritually… They have no idea that there is a chair in the throne room with their name on it. An empty chair. Paul tells us to seek the things which are above. What things are above? Only every good and perfect gift. And how do we seek them? By connecting with our Mediator, talking with Him, listening to Him, worshiping Him. Jesus has given us the keys to His Kingdom. Don’t you think it’s time we moved in?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I believe You have given me the authority and the dunamis power to live from Heaven to earth instead of the other way around. Thank You for Your precious Son, who made that possible. Help me to seek You with all I am, in Jesus’ name, and take full possession of my inheritance, that the world may know Your glory. Amen.
