Promise of the Day: Calamity and Good?

No Longer Flesh

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Jeremiah 32:42 CJB:

“For here is what Adonai says: ‘Just as I have brought this complete disaster on this people, so likewise I will bring on them all the good I have promised them.'”

Calamity and Good?

Devotion:

What??? The Lord brings calamities on His chosen people? But what about love? What about grace? Believe it or not this is one of the most wonderful promises from our Heavenly Father. Yes, the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all iniquity but we have to choose to remain clean. We have to choose to turn away from the world and live for God if He is to dwell in us fully. We are commanded to be holy as God is holy, and sanctification is a process. Jesus gave His life to restore us to intimacy with the Father, and the Father will use whatever means necessary to make that happen. Even if it hurts. Because, once our eyes and hearts remain on Him, He will release such blessing upon us, our temporary pain will pale in comparison.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Your ways are not my ways. I may not like some of the methods You use to help me let go of the things of the world, and help me reach the Heavenly realms, but I believe that it is all done in love, and that You know best how to mold me into the me You created me to be. Thank You for loving me so much. Amen

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
