Promise of the Day: King of Kings

Chosen to Dwell

Today’s Promise is Ezra 1:1, 2 NKJV:

“Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,

“‘Thus says Cyrus king of Persia:

“‘All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah.'”

Subjects of the King

What an uplifting promise to remind us that, regardless of person’s beliefs or position, even the king of Persia, they are not exempt from God’s will. God is sovereign! And, where His children are concerned, He will do as He wills, through whomever or whatever He pleases. No one can prevent the Most High God from fulfilling His Word. Nothing can come between our Father and His children! Now, that’s a promise I can live with! How about you?

Heavenly Father, I may not always understand–or even like–what You are doing in my life, but I can rest assured that all of it is for my good and blessing. You’ve promised me this, and I not only believe it, I thank You and praise You for it! Thank you for loving me so much, that nothing can ever come between us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
