Promise of the Day: Our Defender

Our Defender

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is 2 Thessalonians 1:6-7 NKJV:

“It is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels.”

Our Defender

Devotion:

One of the most successful demons operating in the church is the spirit of offense. This demon operates under the spirit of pride and it has the power to strip you of all the blessings of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. It also opens the door to heart disease, cancer, and other spirits of infirmity.  Bitterness and thoughts of revenge are a huge waste of time and energy at best, and suicidal at worst. Nothing escapes God’s attention, and no one escapes His judgment. But we, having the heart of our Savior, should pray that those who hurt us will turn from their sin, that they may be spared God’s wrath as we have been. This is the victory of Christ in us!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for taking the burden of self-justification off my shoulders. In You I am justified. I repent of entering into agreement with the spirits of pride, bitterness, and unforgiveness, Lord, in Jesus’ name, and I renounce any legal right I have given the enemy by indulging these spirits. This door is closed and sealed with the blood of the Lamb of God, never to be opened again. Lord, keep me vigilant, that when the enemy comes to tempt me back into this sin, I may be victorious over him. And, please help me to remember I am free to extend grace to those who hurt me, for Your Name’s sake. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
