Blessings!
Today’s Promise is 2 Peter 3:9 NKJV:
“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
Devotion:
Have you ever known anyone who promised one thing, but delivered something entirely different? Or perhaps didn’t deliver anything at all? It only takes one broken promise to make you question someone’s reliability. Though you are willing to extend grace, repeated occurrences will eventually cause you to label the offender as unreliable–permanently. But this is a label our God has never worn. He has kept every promise He’s ever made, to Noah, Abraham, David… and the list goes on. So, when Jesus said He would return for us, that’s a promise we can take to the bank.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that Your Word is true, and that You keep Your promises. Because You are true and reliable without fail, I can boldly walk in Your promises. You will never let me down. Praise Your Holy Name! Amen!
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
