Blessings!
Today’s promise is Psalm 121:1, 2:
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.”
Devotion:
When faced with the possibility of denying the Lord, Peter made a great mistake. He determined that because of his close relationship with Jesus, he had it within himself to resist the devil. Satan loves it when we rely on our own strength through our association with Jesus, because he knows the instant we step out on our own, we are beaten. Only our Lord has the power to defeat the enemy, and it is His strength we must rely on if we are to win any battle. Only by remaining in Him can we find victory. Praise God His Holy Spirit lives within us to guide, direct, and strengthen us!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to always look up. I am weak, but You are strong. Be my strength, Lord! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
