Promise of the Day: The Love of the Bride

The Righteous

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is James 4:8 NKJV:

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

The Righteous

Devotion:

God is not some big mean guy sitting up in Heaven, looking down on us in judgment. He created us for relationship with Him. Even when Adam rejected Him in the Garden of Eden, God determined to restore that relationship. He wants nothing more than to walk with you “in the cool of the day.” Sin cannot stand in the presence of Holiness, but God was so desperate for you, He made the ultimate sacrifice. His Son. Jesus’ blood is the only thing that can cleanse us of all sin, enabling us to once more enjoy God’s presence. But HaShem remains a jealous God. He has no intention of being anyone’s hobby or weekend guest, nor should He. The true Bride of Christ has her heart set only on her Groom, craving His presence, basking in His love. Do you long for the presence of your Bridegroom as He longs for you?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You so much for wanting to walk with me. Help me to know and believe that I am the love of Your life, in Jesus’ name, and help me make You the love of mine. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
