Today’s Promise is 1 Samuel 2:30 NKJV:
“Therefore the LORD God of Israel says: ‘I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.’ But now the LORD says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.'”
Devotion:
Jesus is the love everyone craves, the fulfillment every heart seeks. We who have been blessed to find Him can’t help but honor Him. Those who despise Jesus, do so because they don’t know Him. Prayer can change that. If you know of someone who despises the Lord, make it your mission to pray for them, that they, too, may be blessed with the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. That they, too, may be honored.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Your heart is for all of Your children. Give me a passion for the lost. Give me the words to pray for them and to say to them, in Jesus’ name. Help them to see Your love for them through me, Lord, that they may be drawn to You and Your Kingdom. That they may honor You and be honored by You. Amen!
