Today’s Promise is Matthew 5:9 NIV:
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
Devotion:
Drama is all the rage today. In everything from entertainment, to politics, and even in churches, people love drama. Or maybe it’s the negative emotions and reactions they love. People seem to love a good fight. But I can’t help but wonder . . . If peacemakers will be called the children of God . . . what will the drama makers and hatemongers be called?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, grant me a spirit of peace. Grant me a spirit of discernment, in Jesus’ name, that I might recognize when the enemy is baiting me to cause strife, and take my stand against him. Amen!
