Blessings Friends!
There is great rejoicing in the Republican camp today. I seem to recall the same excitement from the Democrats not all that long ago. Republican are expecting now what Democrats expected then—change for the better. Unfortunately, we continued on our spiral downward then, and only one thing can change that trend.
As long as we continue to put our faith in the wisdom and government of man, we will only gain momentum in our plunge to the bottom. The fate of our nation lies not in the hands of the new majority, nor in the ability of our President to cooperate with them.
The fate of our nation, and the world, lies in one choice. Do we recognize God as our Sovereign and King, repent of our rebellion against Him, and choose to serve Him? Or do we continue to debase Him and serve ourselves?
The United States is poised for judgment, and rightly so. We kill our unborn children by the thousands for profit. We trample His covenant between man and wife, and His design for family, to fulfill our own lusts and greed. We bring idols into His house of worship, turning The Gospel that brings Salvation into the à la carte gospel of man that only leads to death, . . . The list goes on.
As Christians we are commanded to pray for our nation and our leaders, and to pray for Israel. Now is the time, Church! May each sunrise find us on our faces before our God. May each sunset find us crying out to Him. We cannot say, “Well, I did my part. I voted. Now it’s up to God.” God is waiting to hear from you!
“The prayer offered with trust will heal the one who is ill — the Lord will restore his health; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, openly acknowledge your sins to one another, and pray for each other, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16 CJB
“If I shut up the sky, so that there is no rain; or if I order locusts to devour the land; or if I send an epidemic of sickness among my people; then, if my people, who bear my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:13, 14 CJB
I’m not above begging Christians in the United States and around the world to join me in humbling ourselves, seeking God’s face, and turning from our sin for our future. For as goes The Church, so goes the nation.—And as goes America, so goes the world.
Merciful God in Heaven,
Knowing that first and foremost, I am in need of Your forgiveness and healing, I come before You to repent of my sin and seek Your restoration for my soul. I bless Your Son, Jesus Christ, Who fulfilled all the Torah and covered us with His Righteousness, that we might be called Your sons and daughters.
Abba, my soul is weighed down with the burden of the sin of this nation, founded on Your Truths and Principles and dedicated to You. We are Your nation, the sheep of Your pasture, and we have sinned against You grievously. We do not deserve Your forgiveness or favor, but Your mercy endures forever. You will not quarrel for eternity, nor will you forever bear a grudge. I know You love us. I know You want to restore us and bless us. For You are our good and loving Father.
I beg You to forgive us, Abba, for Your Namesake. I beg You to grant our leaders Your wisdom, that they may govern the people in all knowledge and humility. Open the eyes of the blind, that they might see You and repent. That they might know that You are God. That they might call out to You and serve you with gladness. That they might choose to bless Israel, Your Chosen, bringing Your blessing on us.
I beg You, Abba, pour out Your Spirit on Your Church, that we may see You as You are, repent of our sin, and abandon our idols! That we might carry Your Glory on earth, breaking down strongholds, and taking captive every thought to Your glory and honor. Raising the dead, healing the sick, and casting out demons in Your Name, as You have commanded us!
Bless and protect those who serve and protect us and the precious freedom You so graciously give us. Let Your angels cover them and Your peace fill them. Grant Your wisdom and blessing to those who lead, teach, and heal us. Let the meekness and humility of Christ be their guide. Bless and protect those who sustain our nation by the sweat of their brows, those who labor in the fields, factories, stores, and offices. Give them joy in their work, as they serve one another, thereby serving You. Pour out Your blessing on our mothers and make us a nation who supports and blesses this most sacred calling. Bless our fathers with provision, wisdom, and love for their families. Pour our Your Spirit on our children, that they may hunger for You and seek after You.
In the precious Name of Jesus, I bind and rebuke all spirits of darkness over the nations of our Lord! I rebuke spirits of lust, addiction, greed, anger, unforgiveness, pride, murder, sexual immorality, depression, drunkenness, fear, apathy, entitlement, sloth, ignorance, and all the spirits of the enemy! I stand in the authority of Christ Jesus, and reclaim this nation in His Name, that we might truly be one nation under God!
And, Abba, bless and protect the nation of Israel, Your chosen people. Let the attacks of her enemies be thwarted, and let them see the Salvation of their Lord!
Thank You, Abba, for hearing the prayers of Your servant. Thank You for the mercy You have shown us for so long. May we not make You repent of it. You alone can change the hearts of man. You alone can open the eyes of the blind and the ears of the deaf. For this I glorify Your Name, El Shaddai! Amen, and Amen!
God’s grace and peace be yours,
Rebecca
