Healing and Prophecy for the 4th of July

Blessings Friends,

Each time we go to minister at our local 4th of July in the Park celebration, I go with no expectations. And every time God blows me away. It’s simply impossible to anticipate the moves of the Living God.

This week was no exception.

We hadn’t even finished setting up our booth when we got our first visitor, a woman who had come to us last year for prayer for her friend who had stage-four cancer. She came to tell us her friend had been healed! Praise God! The day started on a high note and just kept getting better.

Thank you to all of our “regulars” who stop in every year to pray, encourage, and get encouraged! You are such a blessing as you reinforce God’s direction to begin this outreach. We love you! And we love seeing how God is working in your lives!

This year, we prayed for more ministries than ever before! What an amazing God we serve, who allows us to intercede for fellow laborers in His fields! I can’t wait to hear how God is moving in these ministries.

The Spirits of Healing and Prophecy showed up in power, which is always cool. Especially when I least expect it. When my faith in myself is at its lowest is usually when the Spirit does His best work through me.

“So I am well pleased with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength]” 2 Corinthians 12:10 AMP.

We also had the pleasure of meeting a beautiful young couple, soon to be wed, who are highly gifted in the prophetic. They received words for both Gracie and myself that brought so much encouragement, reinforcing further every word God has given us in the past. Not that I ever doubt God’s ability to accomplish everything He has called me to. But God’s timing is not our timing, and He knows we need reminders every now and then, that His Word is true.

“For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure” Philippians 2:13 AMP.

This year we also showed the trailer for my book, Loved So Much, It Hurts, which will finally be released this fall. This is the story of the birth of Watch God Work Ministries, and has been nine years in the making, so I’m so excited to share this trailer with you (below), my readers who have followed this ministry faithfully and held us up in prayer. Please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts, like, and share. My author website is up, www.rebeccaolmstead.com but we are still working on the store, so pre-orders won’t be available until we work that out.

I will keep you posted as we get closer to release. In the mean time, know you are loved and prayed for. May God bless you greatly!

God’s grace and peace be yours,

Rebecca
