Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Proverbs 21:1 NKJV:
“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord,
Like the rivers of water;
He turns it wherever He wishes.”
Devotion:
A nation’s government does not determined whether it is blessed or cursed. Rather, it is the result of the blessing or curse. It is the barometer of the heart of the Church. When God’s people live in unity, according to His commands, not being conformed to the world and its whims, but being transformed by His Truth, God will raise up leaders to bless us. He will heal our land, and we will live in peace under His sovereign protection. But don’t be tempted to focus on the transformation of others. It all begins with you.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I know if my nation is to turn back to You, it must begin with me. Please, forgive my sins, and the sins of my people, in Jesus’ name. Pour out Your Spirit, Lord, and open our eyes that we might repent and surrender to You completely. You are the only Power we need concern ourselves with, Father. Please, help us to live lives pleasing to You. Please, be our God! Amen!
