Today’s Promise is Proverbs 21:31 NKJV:
“The horse is prepared for the day of battle,
But deliverance is of the Lord.”
Devotion:
What an amazing promise! Our mighty God guarantees our victory in battle! But notice the beginning of this verse tells us that we have a responsibility, too. Even the tribes of Israel trained, suited up, and showed up. And, when they listened for the direction of the Lord and were obedient, God always showed up in a big way. This is faith in action, and nothing spurs our Commander-in-chief into action like faith.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I believe that You are faithful and powerful to save! Help me prove my faith in You, in Jesus’ name, by taking full advantage of the access I have to You through Your precious Son, Your Word, prayer, and worship. With these powerful training instruments, help me to be fully prepare for the day of battle. Amen.
