Promise of the Day: Against the Tide

Against the Tide

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Isaiah 45:24 NKJV:

“He shall say,
‘Surely in the Lord I have righteousness and strength.
To Him men shall come,
And all shall be ashamed
Who are incensed against Him.’”

Against the Tide

Devotion:

The path of righteousness is neither smooth nor easy. When we choose to serve God, we do an about-face and swim against the tide. We shouldn’t expect the world to applaud us or even recognize us. In fact, we should expect to be met with ridicule and even hostility. But, while we may not be well-received by the world, we are greatly celebrated in the courts of Heaven and well-loved by the Creator of the world. And if He is our righteousness and strength, we can rest assured that we will be justified before all the world. It is this knowledge that frees us to forgive. Remember this when you are feeling battered by the world, and be of good courage. God has your back!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for being my righteousness and strength. I repent of my pride and my need to be accepted by the world. Please, help me to keep my eyes on You, in Jesus’ name, that I might be truly free to love as You love and walk in Your righteousness. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
