Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Ephesians 3:17-19 NKJV:
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
Devotion:
In a healthy environment, young children receive love as instinctively as they receive air. But, as we experience the world more, we begin to guard our hearts, questioning love’s authenticity, or even our worthiness to receive it. Unfortunately, some people come to God with the same wariness with which they regard most people. But God is not most people. God is love (1 John 4:8) in its purest and fullest form. As any act of creation is an expression of the creator, so was God’s creation of you. That makes you the result of an act of love! I say this so you will know God’s love for you is true and safe, because He is love. You can trust Him! You can and must become that trusting child again, if Christ is to truly dwell in your heart. Then your roots will grow deep into the love that is God, and you can be filled with all His fullness. This is so important for believers, because love isn’t just a warm fuzzy feeling. Love is power. It was love that created life out of nothingness. It was love that overcame sin and death, raising the dead to live again. Love is power. Once we as Christians are rooted and grounded in the love of Christ, there will be nothing we can’t accomplish or overcome.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the love that created me in Your image, raised me from the dead, and is now recreating me from glory to glory. Help me surrender to Your love, Lord, in Jesus’ name, with the faith of a child. Fill me with all Your fullness, that I may walk in Your power, and that You may be glorified in me. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
