Today’s Promise is Psalm 119:1 CJB:
“How happy are those whose way of life is blameless,
who live by the Torah of Adonai!”
Devotion:
And, how blessed are we who are hidden in Christ Jesus, our living Torah, being covered by His blamelessness! Even more so, we who have the Spirit of God dwelling in us, guiding us, teaching us, empowering us, and convicting us when we have strayed from the path of righteousness. Praise God, He has given us His Word to teach us how to act and live life to the fullest, and His Spirit to help us do just that. We still live in the world, and are exposed to all the trials, distractions, and temptations the world holds, and we are bound to slip now and then. But Christ overcame the world. As long as we remain humble and pliable to the Holy Spirit, repenting quickly and wholeheartedly, and returning to the covering of Christ, we too have overcome. Trust in God’s methods and purpose completely. This is the only path to a life lived in the joy and peace only God can give.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I submit to You wholly and completely, spirit, soul, and body. Thank You for Your correction that warns me when I have strayed from Your path. And thank You for the grace You give me to see Your correction for what it is. Pure love. Amen.
