Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Jeremiah 17:7, 8 NKJV:
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
Devotion:
The world says, “Follow your heart.” But God says “The heart is deceitful above all things.” (verse 9) There is only One who will never mislead us, and will always do what is best for us. Only when we put our complete trust in the Lord, setting our roots deep in the Holy Spirit and the Word, will we thrive. No matter what winds may blow.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to trust in You, in Jesus’ name, and not in what I see, hear, or feel. You know me better than any other. Help me become all I was created to be in You. Amen.
