Today’s Promise is Proverbs 10:25 CJB:
“When the storm has passed, the wicked are gone;
but the righteous are firmly established forever.”
Devotion:
The world loves to celebrate pride in everything from nationality, to sexuality. But those who know God know that He resists the proud, and that He rewards humility with more grace. Since God is our provider and protector, there is no need for us to strive for survival. And, if our sins are covered by the blood of the Lamb of God, we certainly have nothing in and of ourselves to be proud about. So, when the storms of life blow, you are much more secure bowed low and humble on the Rock, than standing tall and proud, screaming into the wind.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You are my Rock and my Foundation. Cover me with Your Righteousness as I bow down before You, in Jesus’ name, that the storms of life may pass over me and not blow me off course. Amen.
