Promise of the Day: Eyes on the Prize

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Matthew 26:64 NKJV:

“Jesus said to him, ‘It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.'”

Devotion:

Jesus spoke these words even as His enemies surrounded Him. He was looking into the eyes of hatred, beatings, torture, and death on the cross. But rather than allow His circumstances to dictate His attitude, Jesus spoke the truth of God’s reality in faith. Rather than acknowledging the power of the enemy in His capture and the abandonment of His closest friends, Jesus chose to focus on His Father’s promise and ultimate plan for His life. This is where the victory was ultimately won. Where are your eyes?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, please help me keep my eyes on You. Grant me the grace to receive whatever Your plan for my life brings, and the faith to trust You through it all, knowing the victory has already been won. Let my life be a testimony to Your goodness, in Jesus’ name, reflecting the brightness of Your glory into a dark and hurting world. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
