Today’s Promise is 2 Peter 1:16 NKJV:
“For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.”
Devotion:
No other religion in the history of man can boast of eye-witness accounts of the death and resurrection of its god. Peter walked, talked, ate, and lived with Jesus. He heard the voice of God declare, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” He saw Jesus die on a cross, and then broke bread with Him, alive and well, days after His lifeless body was sealed in a tomb. No argument of man or Satan can change that. It takes more faith to deny it than to believe it.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Spirit of Truth guiding us into all truth! Pour out Your Spirit, Lord, in Jesus’ name, that through Your servants, many more may know Your Truth and come to know and love You. Amen.
