Today’s Promise is John 8:12:
“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Devotion:
Did you ever play, “Follow the Leader?” You had to do exactly as the leader did if you wanted to stay in the game. The stakes are much higher when we follow Jesus, but unlike the children’s game, our Lord is not trying to trip us up and get us eliminated. In fact, He’s done everything in His power to make us winners. So, don’t be afraid to follow the LIGHT!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Your precious Son came to show me the way. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name, and help me to follow His every move, that I may have the light of life, and You may be glorified in me as You were in Your Son. Amen.
