Promise of the Day: Swallowed Up

Swallowed Up

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Colossians 1:21-22 CJB:

“And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight.”

Swallowed Up

Devotion:

What a beautiful picture. To be completely swallowed up by Jesus. That is exactly what He made possible when He took our sins to the Cross. He is our covering. When the Father looks at us it’s not our righteousness He sees, but His Son’s. That is why it is so important that we remain in Christ, and not stray. Because it’s only in His covering that we are under His protection, and that we have access to the Throne of God.

One of my favorite meditations when I meet with the Lord each morning, is to visualize climbing up into His heart and resting there, like a baby in the womb, listening to His heartbeat, and the melody of His voice. Do you have a favorite meditation that helps you be still before the Lord?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help me to let go of all the noise and chaos in my life and snuggle into You. Hold me and calm me, in Jesus’ name, until all I can hear is Your heartbeat. Thank you for loving me, Father. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
