Today’s Promise is Romans 8:14 NKJV:
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
Devotion:
If those who are led by the Spirit of God are God’s sons … whose sons are those who are led by other men? Or doctrine? Or false spirits? And how can you know who is leading you–or anyone else for that matter? How can you know that everything I share is from the Holy Spirit? Given all that’s at stake, these are questions we can’t afford to ignore. 1 John 4:1 tells us to “test the spirits, whether they are of God.” But to know what is of God, you must first know God. We can know about God through His Word. But only by His Spirit can we know Him. And the Spirit is yours for the asking.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I want to know You. Fill me with Your Spirit, Lord, that I might know Your voice unfailingly, and obey You fearlessly, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
