Promise of the Day: Immovable

Immovable

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is 1 Corinthians 15:58 CJB:

“So, my dear brothers, stand firm and immovable, always doing the Lord’s work as vigorously as you can, knowing that united with the Lord your efforts are not in vain.”

Immovable

Devotion:

The world is anything but firm and immovable. Apart from God, people are easily driven and manipulated by fear, and pride. This is why we are warned in James 4:4 that whoever is a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. We can’t please both God and people. Trying to do so only brings, confusion, fear, and turmoil. Unlike the world, Jesus, our Rock, is steadfast and immovable. Only by remaining in Him and letting go of our need to be people pleasers can we also be steadfast and immovable in the work He has called us to do. In the end, there is only One opinion that matters. There is only One who is able to save and destroy (James 4:12). And no one will ever love you more.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, You are my Rock and my Fortress. When the world rages around me, hold on to me as I cling to You. Bless the work of my hands, as I do what You have called me to do. Be glorified in me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
