Promise of the Day: The Wealth of Grace

Living Letters

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Ephesians 1:7 CJB:

“In union with him, through the shedding of his blood, we are set free — our sins are forgiven; this accords with the wealth of the grace.”

Devotion:

Only our God is rich enough to pay for every sin ever committed, and generous enough to share the wealth. But the price was paid by His Son, and only by remaining in Him, keeping His commands and walking in His love, can we remain free. The freedom Paul refers to, here, is not the freedom to do or say whatever we want, which is how the world defines freedom, but freedom from the bondage of sin and the consequences of that sin. It is written, “Don’t delude yourselves: no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows” Galatians 6:7. By remaining united with Christ, we can walk in true freedom and the peace that freedom brings. A peace the world cannot know. By so doing, we will draw others to the wealth of God’s grace. He has more than enough to go around!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the abundance of Your grace. Help me walk fully in it, in Jesus’ name, and be free. And help me lead others to Your treasury, that they may know true freedom as well. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
