Promise of the Day: Living Letters

Living Letters

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is 2 Corinthians 3:3 CJB:

“You make it clear that you are a letter from the Messiah placed in our care, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on stone tablets but on human hearts.”

Living Letters

Devotion:

As Christians, we are constantly being watched and judged by an unbelieving world. A world that loves to expose the impotence of the Christ we profess to be the King of Kings. If we behave as the world behaves in word and deed, we prove them right, for our Lord and Savior did not come and die for our sins, so that we could continue to be like the world. He gave us His Spirit to dwell in us for the purpose of transforming us into His image. Holy and set apart from the world. We can try to act holy and talk holy, but the world isn’t fooled. This is what they look for. True transformation is born of love. Not self-righteousness, but the righteousness of Jesus Christ. When we are fully submitted to God through His Son, He lives through us, reflecting His power and glory.  There is nothing in us to expose  but God’s Truth. It is not our words and deeds the world sees, but our motivation. Not to fill a seat in a church, or get someone to say the sinner’s prayer, but to love, as Jesus loves. This is what makes us living letters from our all powerful God to an unbelieving world. A love letter that few can resist.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I surrender to You, in Jesus’ name. Invade me with Your Spirit and fill me with Your love. That all who are watching and listening may see and hear only You. Help me put away my pride and walk humbly before You and man, that others may see You and live. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
