Today’s Promise is John 15:15 NKJV:
“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.”
Devotion:
How humbling to be called a friend of Jesus Christ. Not because I’m a great person and fun to be around, but simply because He loves me so much. This makes me want to be the best friend I can be to Him. I want to be with Him all the time, I want to hear what He says, see what He sees, know what He knows, and love like He loves. I want to remind others of Him in the way I live. And the wonderful part is, I can to all this, and so can you, because we tend to emulate the people we spend time with–and He has called us friends. Are you spending time with your Friend?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me Your Son to show me Your love. Thank You for the privilege of being a friend of the Christ who gave His all for me. Please, help me give my all in return, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
