Today’s promise is John 14:12:
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
Devotion:
Notice Jesus said, “will do,” not, “might do.” Do we really believe in Him? Like Jesus’ disciples, we have been given the Holy Spirit to help us know the Lord, and believe in Him. But it is up to us to pursue Him, surrender to His sanctification, and walk out our faith. When you truly believe in something, you don’t have to think about it, you just do it. It comes as naturally as breathing.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I want to do greater works! Help me to know You and believe in You more! Fill me with Your Spirit, and make me the person You created me to be! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
