Today’s Promise is Romans 15:13 NKJV:
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Devotion:
Sometimes I get so busy striving to accomplish the things I think will bring me joy and peace I forget this truth, that it is God who is the source of true joy and peace. If I want joy and peace in my life, all I really need to strive for is more of Him. What a wonderful Father, who gives so freely and abundantly through His Spirit. All we have to do is look to Him–and believe.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me keep my eyes on You and truly trust in You to meet my every need. Fill me with all joy and peace in believing, Lord and let me abound in hope by the power of Your Spirit, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
