Today’s Promise is 1 John 5:5 NKJV:
“Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”
Devotion:
The world seems like a lot to overcome. Some of us have difficulty overcoming circumstances in our own lives. Yet, God says that if we believe Jesus is God’s Son, we have overcome the world! When we shift our focus from our difficulties to the One Who overcame, things look a lot brighter. The next time you feel overwhelmed, remember this promise and give God the glory that, through His Son, you have already overcome. Then watch Heaven invade your circumstances!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, faith is a gift from You, and You will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly. I ask therefore, in the name of Jesus, that you grant me the faith to act on Your promise, that in Christ Jesus, I have overcome the world! Amen!
