Today’s Promise is Hebrews 10:38 CJB:
“But the person who is righteous
will live his life by trusting,
and if he shrinks back,
I will not be pleased with him.”
Devotion:
Once we put our faith in Jesus, we must keep our eyes on Him. When we allow ourselves to get embroiled in the world again, we become easy prey for the father of all lies. Because, inevitably, we begin living by sight, not by faith, and without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Remember, God has put His Spirit in you. A Spirit of power and authority! Walk in that authority and give no ground to the enemy! God has your back.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You are my reality. You are my Truth. I am no longer of this world, but am born of the Spirit. Help me keep my eyes on You, Lord, in Jesus’ name, that I may walk in Your righteousness. Amen.
