Today’s Promise is Deuteronomy 5:29 NKJV:
“Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear [reverence] Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!”
I can hear the sadness in God’s voice as He talks to Moses here. God has invited His people, Israel, to come and meet with Him face to face, and in fear, they have said, “Thanks, but no thanks. Just tell Moses what you want us to know and he can pass it on to us.” Can you imagine passing up that opportunity? Yet, even now, when Jesus has opened the door and we have been seated with Him in the Heavens (Eph. 2:6), so many choose to worship Him from a distance. The Father wants to walk with you and me just as He was in the Garden of Eden. Not only with us, but in us. He knows that intimacy with Him will keep us from straying from His truth, keeping us and our children under His blessings forever! Jesus paid the ultimate price for that intimacy. What would you sacrifice for it?
Heavenly Father, let the things of this world fade in my eyes until You are all I see. Sanctify me by Your Spirit and cleanse me of all iniquity, that I might meet with You face to face on the mountain, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
