Today’s Promise is 2 Chronicles 16:9 CJB:
“For the eyes of Adonai move here and there throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong on behalf of those who are wholehearted toward him.”
Devotion:
Credit card companies offer reward plans, promising special perks to encourage customer loyalty, but none of them come close to this promise. Loyalty to God springs naturally out of knowing Him and receiving His immeasurable love for us. He is faithful to show himself strong on our behalf because of that relationship. In fact, He loves being strong for us, because He knows it only deepens our faith and draws us closer to His heart. Unlike credit card companies, there are no limits to His rewards, His strength knows no bounds. And all He requires of us is faith.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for watching out for me. Help me to keep my heart set on pleasing You, in Jesus’ name, that I may be confident in Your strength and power to keep me and to war on my behalf. Amen.
