Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Romans 8:1 NKJV:
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
Devotion:
Wise business owners will hire business managers for the day-to-day operations of their businesses. People who are specifically trained to ensure organization and profitability. But, when the business owner refuses to step back and give their manager the authority to run things, they can drive their own business into the ground and have no one to blame but themselves.
So it is with the Holy Spirit. I want to be free of condemnation, who doesn’t? But in order to be in Christ Jesus, I must make a conscious choice–sometimes minute-by-minute–to surrender my will, and allow Him to make the day-to-day decisions in my life. This is what it means to walk according to the Spirit. I’ve learned that the business of life always runs more smoothly and profitably when I let Him manage things. The authority is all His, the responsibility is all His. No condemnation here.
Have you truly surrendered all?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You know I have a hard time letting go. Help me to trust in You to do what is best in my life and what will bring You glory. Help be to abandon my limited knowledge and embrace Your superior wisdom, Lord, in Jesus’ name, and make me a successful and profitable worker for Your Kingdom. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
