Today’s Promise is Hebrews 13:6 NKJV:
“So we may boldly say: ‘The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’”
Devotion:
Sounds great, doesn’t it? Of course, the preceding verse tells us what makes this possible: “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.'” The Lord is our ever-present provider and protector. If we have Him, and our focus remains on Him, we have everything and we need and need never live in fear.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me remember that You are all I need, in Jesus’ name, that I need never fear if my desire is set on You. Amen.
