Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Philippians 4:6,7 NKJV:
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Devotion:
No problem, right? Right! But the Lord would have never led Paul to give this command, if it were not possible to do. God doesn’t set us up for failure. When our identity is in Christ, we are no longer our own caretakers. Our focus becomes obedience, and He takes care of everything else. Pride keeps our focus on ourselves, and that always leads to anxiety. Faith says, “It doesn’t matter what happens to me or what people think of me. To God be the glory!”
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please help me let go, in Jesus’ name. Help me remember that I died with Your Son, and am risen in Him to new life. The world and its worries no longer owns me. You Do. Let me rest in Your peace. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
