Today’s Promise is John 17:19 NKJV:
“And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.”
Devotion:
Under the influence of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God has the power to transform lives. To be sanctified means to be set apart from the world. Jesus made a choice. Though He walked in the world, instead of allowing the world to influence who He was, He allowed the Spirit to influence the world through Him. Because of His choice, we too can choose not to let the world dictate who we are. We can choose to be sanctified. Amen!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus was sanctified for my sake and, through Your Truth, I too am set apart for Your purpose and glory. Take me deeper into Your Truth, Lord, in Jesus’ name, and help me surrender completely to You. Amen.
