Promise of the Day: Reviled and Blessed

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Matthew 5:11, 12 NKJV:

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Devotion:

It is impossible to be both a people pleaser and a God pleaser. We have to choose, and if you become the object of persecution–you know you’ve made the right choice. How we react to persecution will reveal us as true Disciples of Christ…or pretenders to the Throne. The enemy does not want the lost to know God’s love for them. This is why it is vital to lay our pride at the foot of the Cross and walk in humility. So that we can truly love those who persecute us. Love them back into the arms of God.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help me to rejoice when I am persecuted for Your sake, in Jesus’ name. Help me see each persecution as an opportunity to prove Your unfailing love to those who need You. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
